Ever hear of the Old Latin School in Wittenberg, Germany? This is the birthplace of the Reformation. The school was built in 1564 as the city school for boys, and is the very center where the Reformation took place and the Lutheran Church began.

Next door is St. Mary’s City Church, or the Stadtkirche, where Martin Luther preached over 2000 sermons.

Also within walking distance is the Castle Church, where Luther nailed his 95 Theses.

As part of Frauen auf Reisen, we will visit Lutherstadt Wittenberg, be served a traditional German meal, have devotions in the Latin School chapel, and spend a night at Colleg Wittenberg.
